This was a go-to when we lived in Japan and wanted some home flavors. Of course, living in Japan meant we always had rice on hand so we poured this over rice.

  • 3 chicken thighs boneless & skinless – diced small (around 1 cup)
  • 3 cans Cream of Chicken 10.5oz each
  • 3 cans Cream of Mushroom Soup 10.5oz each
  • 3 cans sliced mushrooms 6.5oz each
  • 1.5 cup onion fresh chopped
  • 3 tsp garlic salt
  • 1.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2.25 cup water cold


  • Mix all ingredients and simmer for 10 minutes or longer.
