What do you do with leftover brisket? Make Brian's Brisket Chili, of course. Absolutely the best chili he has ever made and it is an award winner!

  • 4 lbs brisket or more
  • 1 8oz can petite diced tomatoes NOT drained
  • 1 can black beans (drained) drained
  • 1 onions medium – chopped (or 1/4 cup frozen chopped onions)
  • cup chili powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp kosher salt
  • 1 box mushroom broth
  • 2 tbsp sherry vinegar


  • Dump everything in a Dutch oven and simmer for 30 minutes to 1 hour. If the chili is too thin, add flour/water to thicken accordingly.
